I retired early from a successful sales and marketing career and consider myself lucky to be able to pursue one of my lifelong hobbies of photography in my once long time vacation destination as a full time resident of Door County, WI.
I began photography at a very early age sparked by a family trip to New York City. For many years I only took slides, which in retrospect sharpened my composition skills as there is no post processing in this medium. What you see is what you get.
In high school, joining the camera club enabled my use of a dark room and introduced me to the photographic printing process.
Obtained a B.S. Degree in Journalism and Communication from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana which strengthened my discipline.
Successfully completed numerous photography classes at the Peninsula School of Art, The Clearing Folk School, and Bjorklunden/Lawerence University in Door County WI, which has elevated my craft to a higher level.
Exhibited at Glas Coffee, Blue Bistro, YMCA Northern Door, Cornerstone Pub, Peninsula School of Art (Juried), Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Gallery, The Hardy Gallery (Juried), The Third Avenue Play House Lobby Gallery, The Door County Auditorium Link Gallery, and The Greco Gallery.
Won 2nd Place Judges Choice in 2010 Around the County photo contest. Photography Of Note 2014 Peninsula Pulse Hal Prize.
